Risser comes out of his Shell

Risser wins! Holding off all other contenders since Friday, Risser stays strong to take his 2nd victory of the year!

Other updates to come soon. I do know Dave Wilson is YTD leader by 54 over Vernezze though!

Updated 4:00 pm 4/3/10

Risser holding to a slight lead heading into Sunday at the Shell Houston.

YTD update shows Dave Wilson back in control as Sheriff Long falls all the way to fourth.

Updated 3:25 pm 4/2/10

Brown, Risser and West leading the way at the Shell Houston heading into the weekend.

Happy Easter everybody!

Updated 9:30 am 4/2/10

Another victim down as Baird WD’s leaving Prescott to use his alternate in Mallinger (???), who let’s just say, is sucking at the moment.

McMillan takes charge leading last week’s winner, Dave Wilson (who has Donald cut right now), by only 4. If Donald makes the cut Wilson is line for 2 in a row. This, after a ripped him for sucking in regards to winning BDGL tournaments prior to last week. Talk about responding!

Quite a few owners are keeping an eye on Mahan today. Including me.

Updated 2:00 pm 4/1/10

Say it isn’t so Vijay! It looks like Masters Fever has taken a toll. Too many golfers are thinking about next week. Now Vijay withdraws causing Jenkins to have a stroke! He has 3 guys in the top 5 and has to use his alternate who is Casey, who quit before things even started! That hurts. Meanwhile, The Canadian Sensation takes poll position by squeezing the rail. (learned that terminology in Vegas).

Updated 11:30 am 4/1/10

Two Rookies lead early Thursday while Mahan is lookin to disappoint 15 other owners at the Shell Houston. Just what the doctor ordered!

Updated 10:15 am 4/1/10

It seems quite a few golfers pulled an April Fools on us as the Shell Houston. Casey, Villegas, Stenson and a few others were in the field last night, only to pull no shows today. THAT’S why we have an alternate!

Updated 10:00 pm 3/31/10

For some reason Microsoft Internet Explorer is screwing up the website! until I figure out why, I suggest everybody turn to Firefox and load that instead. The site looks like it should in Firefox! It is free and 47% of population (and rising) is using it now vs only 33% (and declining) for IE.

Can I repeat my Shell Houston title? YES!

Dave Wilson wins?? WTF? After losing nearly every bet he placed in Vegas, he comes home to a Bay Hill championship? This guy hasn’t seen victory in the BDGL since the St Jude in 2007! Nice one Wilson! Oh my. Hard Five!!

One problem. He started off hot in the 1st quarter as well. We shall see what happens in the 2nd.

Golfer counts updated tomorrow.

Updated 9:15 am 3/26/10

Brown still on top at Bay Hill. Can he hold on??

Updates stop now as the annual BDGL Vegas Bonanza begins! Make sure you get in on next years if you missed this one. Good times!

Updated 11:20 am 3/25/10

Brown on top at Bay Hill.

Updated 8:15 am 3/25/10

It’s a new quarter gentlemen, almost comparable to the turn after posting 49 on the front nine. For me at least.

Can Vegas Jenks repeat at the Bay Hill?

Wow – this one was for the books. Rick Miles holds on to win the Transitions Championship after posting all four in the top 10 and earning the neg25 bonus that comes with that most irregular accomplishment! It was a nail biter all the way to the end. Nice going Rick!! You bastard!

1st Quarter winner is Long! Coming from 3rd place to take the quarter after Risser loses control and falls to 5th. Congrats Paul on your first ring! You other bastard!!

Cal – hard way to experience the BDGL. You came up just short on both ends this week- Transitions and the quarter! Hang in there man!

Updated 1:30 pm 3/21/10

Cameron and Miles in a battle at the Transitions Championship! It’s gonna come down between Furyk and Choi!

Quarterly update shows Long up by only 8 with a couple hours to go!

Updated 12:30 pm 3/20/10

Give me a three way tie with Long, Miles and the Canadian Sensation and we got ourselves a nail biter at the Transitions Championship.

Quarterly update shows Long taking the lead!! Risser, Miles and the Cameron only 30 points back! Holy shite boys this is getting good!

Updated 2:30 pm 3/18/10

Give me a double Z with a Capital V and you get Vernezze. Thursday’s leader at the Transitions Championship.

Quarterly update shows Risser bouncing back after my lashing to take the lead by only 2 over the Champ Joe Wilson! Long falls to 50 back in only 2 hours. Yikes!

Updated 12:30 pm 3/18/10

Couple of Rookies in Cameron and Vernezze are leading all. How ironic that this is the “Transitions” Championship.

Quarterly update shows Risser having a complete collapse as Long takes the lead by only 3 over the Canadian Sensation! Long may as well be Canadian since he lives close enough in Seattle. So basically we have two Canadians battling it out for the Quarter right now.

Updated 8:50 am 3/18/10

This is it for the 1st quarter at the Transitions Championship ! Can Risser hold on or will veterens Westy or Wilson catch him under the pressure? Could Tate or Long make a mark in the BDGL as well? Or will the Rookie Cameron take the 1st Quarter Ring? It’s anybody’s game!!

One of the most popular golfers selected isn’t even playing?? Ouch!

Updated 7:40 am 3/16/10

Can the Castel repeat his Transitions Championship ?

Will Risser hold on for his first ever Q-Ring? Or will the Champ come from behind as he did last year on the last fricken week? Am I still bitter? yes.

Golfer Counts are updated! and for it only being the 1st quarter, there are quite a few big names with a 2 by them already!

Risser comes out of his Shell

Kel holds on from start to finish as his solo pick of Els puts him in the negative! He earns the 50 point bonus for being the only owner to take Els. By winning the the WGC at Doral he has earned his 9th lifetime victory overall. Only a few have double digit lifetime victories. One more and Kel is there!

YTD Update shows Risser holding on for the 2nd week in a row! But look who’s knocking on the door in 2nd place. The champ himself! The Champ also leads all in the Power Rankings after posting his 3rd top 5 this year. Nice Joe – can you pull of a Quarterly Ring just after a Gleason?? THAT would be impressive.

Our anchor continues to be Hayward as he sets at the bottom of the Sliding Board.

Golfer Updates to be updated Tuesday, I promise!

Updated 2:40 pm 3/13/10

It’s a tight one at the Blue Monster with Kelly still holding a slight edge over Castelein and Fred Miles!

Updated 10:00 am 3/12/10

Kelly still rolling with his solo pick of Els leading the way. Only one Els taken?? Where has the trust gone in the Big Easy?

Updated 4:30 pm 3/11/10

This game sucks!! But Kelly Horen doesn’t think so…. he is on fire after Thursday’s round at the Blue Monster!

Updated 8:00 am 3/11/10

Beware of the Blue Monster. The Kill takes the early lead.

Updated 5:00 pm 3/7/10

McMillan held on to take the Honda Classic and his 3rd tourny in the last 8 played! and that includes the British Open. That is a nice average. Also his 4th lifetime in 3 years. Congrats McMillan!

YTD Update shows yet again a new sheriff taking control as Miles crumbles under the pressure by posting a 307 dropping him all the way to 5th place overall. This time it’s Risser who leads Long by 25 while 3 others are within 100. Hayward dead last as our Anchorman. Make sure you congratulate him on that!

Next up – the WGC Blue Monster at Doral. Can Zellman repeat?

Updated 1:30 pm 3/6/10

Late Saturday and it looks like it may be McMillan’s tourny to lose especially if Green stays on fire. Hayward, still our Anchorman.

Updated 4:10 pm 3/5/10

Nobody escaped unscathed. Be happy if you only have one guy missing the cut at the Honda Classic. But you are going to get those results when the 3 most popular golfers picked, in Yang, Clark and Allenby combine for 24 over par. Trivia – What do Hayward, Wilson and Brown have in common? Answer: They have all three of those guys in their lineups. Ouch! You gotta love it. However, I am disappointed I did not get to hand out a Quatro Magnífico.

McMillan on top with Long right behind. Even Houston, with 2 cut, has a fighting chance!

YTD update shows Risser with a slight lead over Long and rookie Cameron, aka the Canadian Sensation, taking a top 3 spot into the weekend. Nice going America. oh and I have to mention the Anchor. Wait, I will let you guys see who that is…. it has to be killing him. Have a nice weekend everybody.

Updated 1:50 pm 3/5/10

Long, still on top at the Honda Classic. Jeff only one to have all four in, setting in 3rd place and is favored for the weekend!

Updated 9:30 am 3/5/10

Long, who still owes Miles money, is looking strong at the Honda. Lots of cut golfers out there so it is anybody’s game. But as of now, Long, who still owes Miles money, is leading the pack early Friday at the Honda Classic.

Updated 3:30 pm 3/4/10

Everybody (except Jeff who picked his golfers with a dart) has a cut golfer at the Honda Classic, however McMillan is the only one with a golfer in the neg using his pick of Green who is holding the lead as Thursday comes to a close.

YTD update shows Risser taking the lead with Long (who by the way still owes Miles money) only a hair behind. Rookie Cameron breaks the top 5! and word has it Dave Wilson hates this game.

Updated 1:40 pm 3/4/10

We are back and under way at the Honda Classic, which looks ugly. McMillan’s solo pick of Green could be huge!

Updated 12:55 pm 3/4/10

Hack this beeeyotch! We have been hacked. I am working on a fix. We will lose all posts with comments though – which sucks. But should be up shortly.
